This includes the WTG foundation FEM development to estimate concrete temperatures at any foundation point during concrete hardening phase and the analysis and verification of maximum reached concrete temperatures to minimize DEF risk as well as additional pathologies that may occur.

Life time
extension

Upon request, CTE Wind can extend the lifetime of the wind turbine foundation up to several years by extrapolation of the fatigue loads.

Use of decarbonized concrete

The world’s first 0% clinker decarbonized concrete wind turbine foundation was designed by CTE Wind.
The replacement of traditional concrete with 0% clinker concrete for this foundation, poured in 2024 in France, enables a reduction of 33 tons of CO2 emissions without changing construction methods.
It is about the consideration of a specific (green) cement that modifies the characteristics of concrete and its justification as well as the reinforcement. This decarbonized concrete has modified behavior in terms of fatigue and also through its modulus E.
