Geotechnical consultancy
At the early work stages of a project
- Geotechnical survey and GIR worldwide (engineering activities only)
- Campaign design: Design of survey BoQ to be carried out by the client.
- Survey supervision: On site or remote support.
- GIR: Drafting of the geotechnical report from the survey results provided by the client.
Full scope: possible in some cases upon request. For example in Spain, Portugal, Chile, Mexico,…
- Field and laboratory work all subcontracted to the same (local?) company. CTE Wind manages and supervises. GIR can be written or just reviewed.
- CTE Wind subcontracts each type of investigation directly to different suppliers and writes the GIR.
At any stage of a project
- Geotechnical consultancy
- Review of the GIR to assess whether it is acceptable and/or needs further investigation or a better characterization
- Soil improvement design: soil substitution, gravel columns/rigid inclusions design : soil improvement by inclusions will be designed. The number, position, diameter and length of the inclusions will be stated for each affected position. The design of these elements will be done by the execution company.

- Synthesis and grouping of soil values for wind farm foundation optimisation
- Site assessment to determine the required geotechnical site investigation campaign
- Procurement assistance in the selection of geotechnical contractors for the preparation of the geotechnical report
